Hindsight

So first of all, hello ! These are not high quality pictures as I find it hard to bring my heavy DSLR camera everytime I take a stroll around town. However, these are phone pictures that I've cumulated during the past month. Most of these are taken around campus, in the library, downtown Laramie or in the interstate (between Colorado and Wyoming).
It is a beautiful town, with gorgeous skies and mountains. I thought I have mentioned that before. Nevertheless, if you're not fan of liquor/partying/outdoor sports, you will probably die with a slow transcending agony in this place (as it is almost my case). In Laramie, you have pretty much nothing to do, which is kind of frustrating. Am trying to live with that for now...
"It's just a year, it's just an experience..."
I know, but so far, it's not a pleasant one. It gets pleasant when you're around amazing people who cares about every single inch of you (and the sad part of this : they are already leaving this town). Other than that, nothing is really interesting about the American culture/lifestyle that am far away from appreciating.
I miss my country and my people. I never thought that, one day, I am gonna say this but Tunisia/Tunisians are the best. There is something special about those North-African countries that I can't discern yet.

I might be ending this blog post soon as I have nothing really important to mention besides the cold and the "shitiness" of the educational system in here (currently suffering from home-works and reading).

Take care, folks !

The journey. Part I

First stop in the US : Washington DC.
Impressions ? It's was unbelievably beautiful, busy, the hustle and bustle, the smell of bureaucracy was reaching out to people in the streets, on the subways, in restaurants and even lost kids like us in  GW University park.
It's late, I know. They are pretty much shitty and repetitive photographs...I know. But the memories of these days will always remain (Metallica ?). I met so many amazing people. We got to know each other and bond in a very short period of time. Eventually, each one of us ended up in a different place (state) and we got separated.
Starting with my Tunisian partners in crime : Salma, Heni, Wassim. My Jordanian Abdullah, and the Palestinian beauties that am so thrilled to have in my life, Nadia and Raghad. Without forgetting all of the amazing Egyptian, Lebanese and the various nationalities that I got the chance to meet and know more about. That was a heck of a week, people !
See you all very very soon, and wish you all the best for this journey.

While I was submitting these photos, I kept looking through the window and bloody hell ! The rain haven't stopped since the very early morning. It's such an unpleasant weather in Laramie.
Yes, I said Laramie !
Now I am in Laramie Wyoming. No more buildings, cityscapes, busy streets, rush hours...am in the plain nature, in a small beautiful town surrounded by huge mountains and wild nature.

I started to fall in love with the beauty of the town. No matter how small or boring it is, I do find the town highly attractive (some people might not agree). However, they say that it snows a lot in this area. So, I am sort of getting ready and buying snow clothes and shoes. I do not like snow, nor heavily rainy days, but I do enjoy grey sad weather. Apparently, in Laramie you can witness the four season within 24 hours. Scored !

I will talk more about Laramie in the next post (hopefully tomorrow), along with some few pictures I took with my phone while strolling around the streets.

Greetings people !

People help the people

I can go for hours with submitting  photos of people I had/still have in my life. Especially now that am freaking sick, in the bed the whole day, being nostalgic and browsing through my photography files.
Let's just open a parenthesis ; I have mentioned in a very important paper,  that is supposed to show my various skills and academic excellence in the best shape, that I love touching sidewalks and old building bricks, hearing people talking and staring at every single detail of their facial bone structure. I can't really deny that human beings are a case of study that fascinates the hell out of me. This is why I wanted to pursue anthropology studies, however, that's another long story.
Meeting people and befriending some happens quite frequently in a human being's life. But it seems that it's taking more importance and value for someone like me who might start counting someone's lashes while talking to them.
Words can't really describe how much I appreciate every single fine moment I had with every living human being since I started realizing that we humans are rare masterpieces. Grateful, and thankful for these amazing friends, acquaintances and others. Leaving these people for quite a while is the hardest thing that I'm about to do. You'll be missed, a lot.

Instagram recap

Hello dearies !

The small snapshots above resume what I've been doing for the past few weeks. I have finished school, started my summer internship and still didn't get a tan YET. Actually, there is something new going on in my life which is my obsessive unexplained lust for bathing suits. I have never loved wearing bikinis, nor showing off my bum for the public. However, I still find the idea quite irritating but I will stick to my sport shorts and change the tops as I bought plenty of them.
Anyway, I haven't went to the beach yet. I am still having a week, since Ramadan is almost there (on the 9th of July I believe). Let's hope that I'll grab a towel and abduct my sister for a small ride to the beach.

I have been also DIYing a lot. I will show you what I 've been working on in the up-coming posts. It's really fascinating how ten fingers and two eye-balls(and all of the human body per say) can make wonders.

Some great music to let you hold on to, some chillwave for a chilly not so hot summer.

laterz !

Once upon a time...Woodstock

I am way behind in posting, I suk big time, I know. I couldn't keep up with anything I've been doing lately : too much confusions, and a lot was actually happening.
Now, it's the "after the storm" phase. Am surprisingly enjoying it. Feeling calm and serene is something that I miss a lot. Anyway, let's sum up what happened in these past couple of months really quick  :
- I have just finished exams
- I am officially in summer break
- I am going to spend a year in the USA, studying and shit.
- I took off my lower braces (the upper ones in a month or so).
- I cut my hair
- I realized that am underweight and I should worry about that.
- I have took a lot of pictures but posted none of them( will do soon enough).

That's all I guess. So the pictures above were randomly taking during the spring break, in my college. Those two folks came dressing up as hippie. The weather was warm and the sun was blazing, so we had to immortalize those moments. It turned out pretty good. Love you Mohsen and Anissa

Now these are some awesome BTS shots, with Mariem and Boussarsar.

Oh ! What can I say a part from I love you, you people who make me smile while going through these pictures.

Now get ready ! A new post will be up soon.

Take care y'all
